Inspired by the golden hour when sunlight paints every blossom in warm amber tones, Golden Solstice is a handcrafted silk flower hairpin that embodies vitality, elegance, and timeless craftsmanship.

The vivid orange blossom symbolizes joy, prosperity, and new beginnings, while the refreshing jade-green leaves create a harmonious contrast reminiscent of a tranquil summer garden.

Mounted on a natural sandalwood hair stick, this piece combines the warmth of wood with the delicate softness of silk, creating an accessory that feels both luxurious and effortlessly wearable.

A Sculpture Made From Silk Threads

Every flower is individually handcrafted using traditional silk thread techniques.

Each petal is wrapped, dyed, shaped, and sculpted entirely by hand before being assembled into a three-dimensional composition.

The distinctive ribbed texture is created through precise thread wrapping, giving every petal natural movement and remarkable depth.

The centerpiece features a luminous pearl surrounded by delicately hand-set metallic stamens, adding an elegant finishing touch.

About the Craft

Our velvet flowers are crafted from natural silk and copper wire β€” traditionally used in festivals and ceremonial decorations.

The making process involves nine steps: silk refining, dyeing, air drying, hooking, ironing, pinching, assembling, attaching, and packaging.

Each artisan’s method can produce unique variations in the final result, making every piece distinctive.

As China’s modernization accelerated, this traditional craft faced challenges: high costs, low output, complex methods, and a decline in the inheritance of skills. Many workshops have faded, leaving the craft endangered.

Yet, velvet flowers carry more than beauty β€” they embody the spirit of craftsmanship and the heartfelt blessings expressed through each handmade piece.
